Our bodies are amazing machines made to help us run on the food we eat and remove what we do not need. However, food is changing faster than we can evolve, and some of the things found in our food end up staying in our bodies and, sometimes, even in our fat cells.

Water soluble toxins are easily removed from the body via urine or sweat. However, fat soluble toxins are not so easy to remove, and the body ends up storing these toxins in the fat cells.

“The National Health Adipose Tissue Survey (NHATS) sampled fat cells in the US [starting in 1967 and concluding in late 1980s] and found over 20 toxic chemicals in a regionally diverse sample of the population. Since the green revolution and better living through chemicals in the 1940s many fat soluble chemicals have been introduced into the environment and thus the food chain. Many of these are foreign to the detoxification pathways of the body, and so the body is unsure how to respond and will store them in the fat cells. If the toxins are in the body for a short period of time then it is unlikely that they will do much harm, but when they are stored in the fat cells, their effect on the body is not positive.   • Swollen Hands or Feet
  • Hypersensitivity
  • Headaches
  • Joint Stiffness

If you have any of these problems or eat food containing preservatives, pesticides, additives, pollutants, heavy metals, or other environmental chemicals, you probably need to cleanse your fat cells of toxins. (Most mass- produced foods have at least one of the toxins listed above.)

How to Detox the Fat Cells

1. Digestion

First, you need to make sure you are digesting well. It is poor digestion that makes removing these toxins nearly impossible. Start by consuming ghee to help the digestive tract work like it should. Ghee will help the body to naturally burn fat and promote a healthy digestive tract and strong immune system.

2. Liver

It is also important to cleanse the liver. The liver works with fat soluble toxins and, more than likely, it is overwhelmed. That is why the toxins are not being removed as they should be.

3. Stay Active

Last, but certainly not least you need to stay active and drink lots of water. The lymphatic system works best when you are moving. This will make it easier for your body to remove toxins from the body. Also, your body needs to be well hydrated in order to work properly. Give your digestive tract and liver the water they need!
