Many healthy and delicious juices can support long-term weight loss. But if you don’t mind my saying, this Body Fat Burner Juice takes the trophy.

Did you know? Ideal juices for weight loss are low in sugar, are rich in important nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, and also contain fiber. Yes, juices that are strained only by the juicer itself do contain fiber, though in reduced quantity than the whole foods themselves. (But if you wish to have juice with no fiber, then strain a second time with a fine mesh strainer).

Twelve years ago I personally used this body fat burner juice recipe as part of a weight loss diet. With consistent exercise and a clean diet, I lost the weight in just over a month.

This version was inspired by a recipe that I had found in a book all those years ago. It has since been my go-to recipe when I want a delicious juice, whether for everyday nourishment or as part of a weight loss plan.

Benefits:  Body Fat Burner Juice

Before we get into the recipe, let’s take a look at the amazing benefits of all the ingredients.

Beets are strong liver cleansers and also a good source of iron. A healthy functioning liver aids greatly in weight loss and weight maintenance.

Grapefruits are high in enzymes that help to burn fat and may speed up metabolism. Grapefruit, also rich in antioxidants and fiber, has anti-inflammatory effects. This notion has been passed down over the years, as folklore has long said grapefruit is useful for weight loss. And when 74 overweight adults ate half of a fresh red grapefruit with each meal for six weeks, modest weight loss was indeed confirmed — along with a significant reduction in waist circumference. Apples are known as a major source of polyphenols, dietary fiber, prebiotics, carotenoids, and other health-boosting nutrients. And apples do help with weight loss. Specifically, a meta-analysis shows that fruit polyphenols in apples likely promote weight loss and exert their beneficial effects via scavenging free radicals, regulating gene expression, and altering signal transduction in target cells and tissues, especially fat tissues. Radish is known to have protective effects on the liver, thyroid and gallbladder. For example, according to a 2012 study on animal models, white radish enzyme extracts may shield against hepatotoxicity, that is, liver toxicity. (3) Hepatotoxicity refers to either an injury to the liver or impairment of liver function. For example, this insult to the liver may be caused by exposure to toxins like drugs, food additives, alcohol, chlorinated solvents, peroxidized fatty acids, fungi, radioactive isotopes, and environmental toxicants. Green tea contains an antioxidant-rich polyphenol, known as catechin, which has shown promise for influencing energy metabolism, as well as weight and body fat, especially abdominal fat. (5)

Ginger studies in humans and animals show that ginger could help boost metabolism, reduce appetite, and promote weight loss. (6, 7, 8)
