Chocolate is a guilty pleasure for many people. Sometimes it can be dark, but when you’re a milk chocolate lover, how do you go vegan? Try this orange chocolate fudge for a surprise.
Rich, creamy, decadent fudge, doesn’t have to be loaded with dairy or refined sugar.
This vegan chocolate fudge is likely to become one of your new favorite desserts. It takes less than five minutes to whip up and is so satisfying that you won’t feel compelled to eat too much of it. While it may be free of dairy and refined sugar, you won’t even notice it’s missing.
Made with pure, simple ingredients, this is one dessert you can feel better about bringing to the dessert table.
Here’s the recipe for this decadent fudge:
Vegan Orange Chocolate Fudge
1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp. cocoa powder or carob powder
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 Tbsp. coconut oil, melted into a liquid
1/4 tsp orange extract OR 3-4 Tbsp. fresh squeezed orange juice.
2 Tbsp. cacao nibs
1 orange for garnish
- Place cocoa powder, maple syrup, liquid coconut oil, and orange extract into a blender, and blend on high until smooth, about 60 seconds. If using fresh orange juice, blend the other ingredients first, then add in the orange juice and blend again.
- Pour into either individual dessert or shot glasses and top with cacao nibs and fresh orange pieces. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours until it firms up.
Notes: This recipe can easily be doubled, tripled, etc. for more servings.
