Prevent Sagging Breasts Naturally with THESE Tips!

We all have our insecurities and for some women, the shape of our breasts is one of them. While appearance is a large part of that desire for ‘perfect’ breasts, in reality your concern should be for something much more important – your health. Sag can occur for natural reasons or lifestyle choices but there are things you can do to combat the sag and promote breast health regardless of the cause.

Why do breasts sag?


Our breasts are not muscle. They are made up of fatty tissues and glands that produce milk. All of this is covered with skin that is naturally elastic due to the presence of the protein elastin.

Things like smoking and dramatic weight gain or loss (such as during pregnancy) are what experts cite as the reason for breast sag.

Smoking destroys the elastin protein and causes skin to lose its elasticity. This causes the skin around and on the breasts to become loose and sag instead of clutching the tissue.

When it comes to weight loss, 50 pounds gained or lost will have an effect on your breasts and can cause them to sag.

So what can you do to keep your breasts firm?

For one, you can aim to maintain your weight. As mentioned earlier, if you keep your weight at a healthy, consistent level your breasts will stay stronger and more firm. Drastic weight gain and weight loss will cause the breasts to sag.


You can also keep your breasts firm by drinking water. You hear over and over again that water is good for your internals. It’s also great for your skin. According to the University of Wisconsin, if you do not drink enough water, your skin will age quicker. This will cause your breasts to sag. Always drink a liter of pure water upon getting up in the morning. Add a pinch of sea salt and lemon for further benefits.

Another way to maintain breast health and prevent sag is to get proper nutrition. According to iDIVA, foods rich in sulfur-bearing protein, hemp seeds, eggs and vitamin C are just a few things you can eat to promote breast health.

Exercise will also keep your breasts firm. If you need to lose some weight, be sure to keep your diet nutritious for not only breast health, but full body health. Avoid fried foods that can age connective tissue, just like you would avoid smoking.

Did you know there are also breast-specific exercises you can do? The routine below is a good one.

Aloe vera is another good way to keep your breasts firm. According to In Life Healthcare, all you have to do is massage your breasts with aloe vera gel, leave it on for ten minutes, and then wash. Do this 4 to 5 times a week and the aloe will naturally strengthen your skin. You can also massage your breasts with coconut oil or cacao butter 2 to 3 times a week.

You can also use a breast mask. PositiveMed has an incredible list of breast masks that you can apply to firm up your breasts. Here is one we adapted.

What you Need:

  • One tablespoon plain organic yogurt (vegans can use a tablespoon of coconut kefir)
  • One organic egg (vegans use one teaspoon of spirulina and coconut oil)
  • One tablespoon vitamin E oil (organic olive oil is also good)

Blend everything together and massage evenly onto your breasts. Cover with an old shirt and leave on for 20 to 25 minutes. Then rinse off.

I love your post David ;) I would like to add one thing that I believe can completely solve the problem. The removal of butryates and butyrate forming starches from your diet can keep your skin (and breast) in perfect condition for life. Butyrates are short chain fatty acids that are produced from bacteria. These SCFA’s feed our endothelial and epithelial cells and are the preferred food of these cells. When they are present in our body, SCFA’s essentially stop all healing processes in our skin and intestinal layers. Normally the cells would heal themselves through autophagy, but in the presence of SCFA’s, no healing takes place.

    Hi Rain, while you may be disinclined to the kind of argy-bargy that I’ve engaged in above, it would be really good to counter that portion of the dissenting view if you were to provide any studies or links to materials in support of your comments! Also, which foods one should avoid in order to avoid “butryates and butryate forming starches” would be good. The conditions under which such bacteria become enabled might be good too, since it isn’t merely the materials to hand, but what else enables those materials to be ‘misused’ as well. Even so, you’ve given me a little go on with, so thanks. I wanted to look at this article even though I’m a bloke as I have very slight man-boobies due to age-related droopage. I expect that I am not indulging too much in SCFAs (eating a high raw vegan diet), but rather am doing too little exercise; being chained to a desk 5 days a week as I am… Even so, no blame for this should be directed anywhere other than myself!

Why do you post so many articles about how women can/should improve their bodies–lift their boobs, erase their wrinkles, lose their fat?? You’re either profiting by pedaling the belief that women have to strive for perfection, or you’re just plain mysogynistic. Or both.

Just “wow”. As a therapist that works with predominately women, this shocks me…I saw this on Facebook and had to visit the page to see the comments, of which I assumed would be more plentiful. This article is not only not valid, but winces – no – screams of chauvinistic assumptions, based upon pseudo wellness, and is arrogantly uninformed. Even in the most elementary ways the article confuses “skin” and “pectoral” muscles with “breast tissue”. Please show me the science that states that slathering eggs or yogurt on the skin, will penetrate the skin through molecular science, and will change breast tissue to “firm” them, i.e., reverse time or gravity. If that was the case, egg and yogurt would also firm and cure, erectile dysfunction, at least partially? I am not clear on what wellness has to do with a male objectification of women, but there are times where you have to ask yourself if you’ve gone too far, might need to get in touch with boundaries or perhaps, ego. With all the wellness touted, nothing is healthier than having respect and character. This article is anything but that.

    What field of expertise are you in? Presumably you are meaning psychotherapist, yet you then claim to have knowledge of what works to improve breast aesthetics. I’m not saying you don’t, but your expertise in the area is not established, nor are any arguments put forward to support claims to the contrary. Simply wanting to be more beautiful is not the problem, but rather what said desire does to one’s mental health. Such a desire can be healthy to the the extent that it is not debilitating for one’s psyche. To the extent that it is, the problem lies where? Is it articles which assist in that desire, the person who goes looking, where? If the article is a pile of rubbish because none of the suggested techniques works, then that’s a different matter. I believe the article suffers from a lack of rigour, that is agreed. Health and beauty are entwined and there’s no getting away from that. Perhaps this article, the site, and David himself is going about things the wrong way by attempting to sell his wares by pitching towards perceived insufficiencies around beauty, and while it might be preferred to approach this more clearly from a perspective of health (even if it is implied by David’s history in promoting health), at least there’s no scalpels involved!

I have recently become obsessed with my breasts.
