For Sarah Clark, life was already hard enough as a server/bartender at a restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona.

But being 9-months pregnant certainly didn’t help matters, and so the day she received a $900 tip from a customer was like a Christmas miracle for her and her family.

“You always hear about these happening, but you never expect to be the recipient of it,” said Sarah, “It’s a huge, huge help for me and my family.”

Apparently, the customer who left the tip was also pregnant, which could have been an inspiration for the kind gesture.

“I couldn’t believe what I was looking at at first because it was such a high amount,” she said, “Nine hundred dollars is a lot of money. It took me a while for it to set in, and once it did I cried a little while.”

Written onto the receipt was also a special note, “This is God’s money—He gave it to us so we could give it to you. God bless.”

The money could not have been better timed, with Sarah expecting to go on maternity leave in early 2017, while her husband will be out of work due to knee surgery.

“Me being on maternity leave and him being out of work” said Sarah, “it’s just, you know, we’re not going to be making any income, so this is really gonna help us with covering rent and other bills.”
