Do you ever get the feeling that your heart is connected to something larger than your body? When something isn’t quite right, your heart may be the first to let you know. When you’re experiencing strong emotions, you might be able to feel them in your heart. In most people, there is a constant battle raging between the rational mind and the sensitive heart. In times of confusion, it can be difficult to know what the right decision is.

As important as it is to think clearly and logically, it’s also important to tune into what your heart is telling you. It can help you decipher what you’re feeling mentally, physically and spiritually.

Here are three messages from the heart you should never ignore:

1. Open Your Mind

Open your mind to the possibility of what could be. Let your imagination run wild, even if your thoughts, dreams and ideas don’t seem logical or realistic to your brain. Life is full of possibilities. Your heart will always desire to explore what could be, because it brings out the child-like qualities in you. Children aren’t concerned with logical thinking. They have open minds and open hearts. When your heart and your mind are feuding, take a deep breath and open your mind to what your heart is saying.

2. Follow Your Truth

When you make the decision to pursue your dreams, your world will begin to align. Following your passion might not make much sense to your logical mind, but it will make your heart happy. Once you start living your truth, you’ll find that there is no need to pretend or to care about impressing others. Finding what makes you happy and choosing to pursue it can give you a whole new perspective on life.

3. Be Courageous

Listening to your heart takes courage. When your logical mind is telling you to stay on the comfortable path, it takes strength to take a risk. Part of following your heart is finding the courage to go against those who disapprove, and to work your away around the obstacles in your way. In order to find courage, you must be willing to be vulnerable. Not everyone will accept or understand your decisions, but don’t make your decisions out of fear. When you find your inner strength, you’ll be able to trust your intuition and create your own path toward happiness, self-love and inner peace.
