No one likes static electricity. I tend to always get shocked, and it hurts every time. Fabric softeners and dryer sheets will fix the problem, but they can be expensive, and I’m not usually a fan of the scents they contain.

Dryer sheets cannot only clog your lint filter without your knowledge, they are also a leading cause of indoor air pollution.

“A single fragrance in a product can contain a mixture of hundreds of chemicals, some of which (e.g., limonene, a citrus scent) react with ozone in ambient air to form dangerous secondary pollutants, including formaldehyde.” (source)

One way to remove a portion of this problem is to get rid of fabric softeners, but this brings us back to the whole static cling problem that comes with dryers and clothes.

This can all be fixed by throwing a couple balls of aluminum foil in the dryer.

When I first learned this trick, I was a bit skeptical. However, I gave it a try, and it worked perfectly. I do this all the time now and I no longer have problems with static cling!

This is so awesome! Who is willing to give this a try?
