Everyone needs a little pick-me-up in the morning. Some prefer coffee, some tea, and some opt for a run.

For me, a little morning yoga is the perfect energy boost I need, and here is the routine I use:

Sun Salutation

The Sun Salutation, or Surya Namaskar, is a series of flowing yoga positions meant to be performed in the rays of the early morning sun. This sequence of positions is believed to be 2,500 years old and was originally developed as a way to honor or worship the sun. Of course, as with any culture, the positions have changed over time to what is commonly practiced in yoga today. (Source)
