Shocking video has surfaced showing anti-government protesters being run over by a Venezuelan national guard armored vehicle. (scroll down for video)
The footage was published by El Nacional on Wednesday at the site of a chaotic protest site. Rioters threw a gasoline bomb across the vehicle’s windshield, emboldening others to storm around it.
But then, suddenly, the armored car speeds forward, running over multiple protesters as the rest flee for their lives.
Social media has reacted with unanimous outrage as the video went viral, further painting the Venezuelan government in a negative light.

The overall protest site resulted in over 300 injuries according to the opposition coalition “MUD”. Approximately 30 people have died over the last month.
Venezuela has been the center of massive political uprisings for weeks as President Nicolas Maduro attempts to regain some semblance of control.
On Tuesday, a viral video showing the President dancing on television while riots took place on the streets outside exemplified the disconnect between the ruling class and the people:

“Maduro is so disconnected and divorced from the country’s reality that he was having a good time dancing while he ordered Venezuelans murdered,” said the opposition coalition.
