Who loves foot fungus?

Anybody?

No? I am with you.

Toenail fungus is really gross – and that is not all. Its growth is an indication of severe health issues.

In many cases, antibacterial medications are prescribed to combat toenail fungus. However, these medications come with several side effects that leave one wondering if the benefits are even worth it. These side effects include impaired liver and kidney function, liver damage, and a weakened heart.

Yeah, not so pleasant.

But there is a natural option for treating toenail fungus, an option with nowhere near the same amount of harmful side effects that antibiotics can bring.

This natural remedy makes use of the fact that toenail fungus can only survive within a certain pH range, which is made difficult to achieve thanks to the alkaline properties of baking soda, the acidic quality of apple cider vinegar and the reaction of the two.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Baking soda
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Warm water

That is it! Not a harmful ingredient in sight.

To reap the benefits of this natural remedy, pour apple cider vinegar into a basin large enough to fit your feet. Soak your feet in this mixture for 20 minutes, then dry them.

Next, fill the basin with water and soak your feet again for 20 minutes before adding baking soda, then soak your feet again for 20 minutes.

If you’ve got toenail fungus, you’ll want to repeat this a few times per day. Within a few weeks, your nail fungus will disappear altogether.

Here is a variation of the recipe, with an excellent video to go with it. She uses minced garlic clove, olive oil and apple cider vinegar.
